Freight rotates our craft beers on a regular basis so our guests can try new things all year round. The Terrapin Cranberry Pumpkinfest is one of our features this fall on tap behind the bar. We carefully select the beers we feature. We think this brew is particularly great for the fall season.
Cranberry Pumpkinfest is brewed by Terrapin brewery with traditional pumpkin pie spices and contains real cranberry juice for just the right amount of tartness.
Terrapin adds pumpkin to the mash for yet another layer of flavor for a beer that is reminiscent of the upcoming season. The alcohol by volume (ABV) is 5.5%, the original gravity (OG) is 14, and the international bitterness units (IBU) is 20. IBU measures the bitterness from hops in a beer on a scale of 0 to 100. In more technical terms, IBU gauges the isomerized alpha acids from hops in a beer in parts per million. Now, that is pretty technical but all we know is that it tastes really good!
