We Love our Veterans at Restaurants Near Me

With Veteran’s Day around the corner, are you asking yourself, “which restaurants near me support veterans?” The number one answer is Freight Kitchen & Tap in downtown Woodstock. Veterans and active military can come to Freight Sunday November 11thand receive a free entrée worth up to $18. Shrimp and grits, pork braise, or chicken and waffles perhaps?

What else is happening at Freight? Well, Monday November 12this yet another NFL burger battle. This time, the New York Giants head to San Francisco to play the 49ers. A little bit of east coast west coast competition. Let’s see what’s in store for Monday’s burgers:

New York Giants Reuben Burger– 8 oz. local angus beef patty topped with sliced pastrami, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing on toasted rye bread. Sounds about right.

San Francisco 49ers Burger– 8 oz. local angus beef patty topped with 4 oz. pan fried crab cake, lettuce, tomato, and spicy remoulade sauce. A match made in heaven.

Pair one of these burgers with a $4 craft on draft. Burnt Hickory out of Kennesaw, GA is Freight’s brewery of the month. Order any Burnt Hickory beer and leave with a free t-shirt or pint glass. Other monthly drink specials include:

Bourbon– Chattanooga 1816 Reserve ($9)

Red Wine– Navarro Correas Cabernet ($9)

White Wine– Eagle Canyon Chardonnay ($9)

Cocktail– Whiskey White Russian ($8) made with 1816, Kahlua, and cream

Shooter– Strawberry Lemon Drop ($6) made with strawberry infused vodka, simple syrup, and lemon juice

As the weather cools down, it’s time to warm up with some tasty drinks. Try a hot spiced rum cider or a chai hot toddy, maybe even a warm glass of mulled wine. There’s a lot of fall spirit at Freight right now and we want you to see (and try) what it’s all about.
