Whiskey Sour Happy Hour — Woodstock Events in August

Whiskey lovers of Woodstock, spread your wings this August for Whiskey Sour Happy Hour presented by Angel’s Envy. Freight is promoting this every Thursday in August with a special drink called “Angel Sour” (Angel’s Envy Bourbon, elderflower liquor and fresh lemon juice). On the first and last Thursdays of August, meet the Angel’s Envy distillers from 5–9 pm. This is certainly one of the Woodstock events you don’t want to miss.

Woodstock Events in August

A little Angel’s Envy History

According to legendary Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson, Angel’s Envy was something special. The family business is rooted in 200 years of bourbon heritage. Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is finished in Port wine casks for up to six additional months after four to six years of aging. The Port finish adds a subtle sweetness and complex flavors, giving the whiskey a richer taste. Just as Freight has an honor system of ensuring quality, Angel’s Envy distillers insist on personally tasting every barrel throughout the aging process. Let’s face it, we are all our own worst critics.

Thanks to Michelle’s creativity, we are always rotating through new cocktails and craft beers, especially in accordance with Woodstock events. Luckily there are five Thursdays in August this year, so you have five chances to attend Whiskey Sour Happy Hour. Just remember the most important days are August 3rd and August 31st because the distillers will be present. If you haven’t tried our new dinner menu items yet, now you have more of an incentive. Pair your “Angel Sour” with a heavenly Georgia Cheese Plate or sweet heat pork ribs. As August kicks off, we are at the climax of summer here in the south. But that doesn’t stop Freight from providing warm hospitality. Bring your friends, family, or fly solo any Thursday next month for Whiskey Sour Happy Hour. See you there!
