“Major Problems in the Trucking Industry”

The Trucking Industry has undergone various changes since the Ronald Reagan Era. Some changes for the good and others for the bad. As a whole the industry is still moving a lot a Freight throughout the States and across Country lines.
But how many people actually know about Trucking? Sure you see hundreds of trucks on your way to work, to pick up the kids, etc but do you really know what those trucks are carrying? If they are even licensed? And more importantly who is driving them?
In reality the DOT and FMCSA do a very good job of regulating and assuring the safety of the drivers, the freight, and the general public within the sectors of Trucking Transportation .
The problems come from the old major companies and their methods of doing business.
You see the older and established companies like CH Robinson, JB Hunt, Coyote Logistics, Swift Transportation, etc. Do a very good job of ripping off truck drivers and smaller carrier companies. They very rarely pay them the proper and fair amount to make a run and in some cases don’t pay them at all.
Sure its fine if they are getting richer every second but the problem comes with the fact that this lack of proper pay in turn causes the establishment of mediocre Carrier companies who in turn are almost (unfortunately) forced to rip off their own truck drivers to see a decent profit for their business. This causes many problems within the carrier company as well as endangering the lives of the general public (alot of pissed off truck drivers going at 60 mph with about 60,000 pounds of weight)
With my experience in the trucking industry and logistics in general I can tell you that Freightship is truly providing Carriers with the proper pay for their work which is in turn elevating customer service levels (for shippers) to a level never seen before in the trucking industry.
So the next time your on your way home from picking up your daughter on that two lane highway and you have that rig next to you and almost on top of you, you better hope that load was not brokered by one of these old companies ( CH Robinson) because you might just have a real pissed off (and reckless) trucker at that wheel.
