“Why Freight Carriers Should Join Freightship’s Carrier Network”
If you are a carrier company with a couple of trucks, whether they be flatbed or dry vans or reefers or LTL’s , there is many options for you to choose as far as the brokers you register with to get loads from. Unfortunately there is only a select few brokers who actually pay you what your worth. In other words they pay you the due amount for the transportation of the load.
Many Carrier’s usually go straight for the old names , the JB Hunts and CH Robinson’s of the world. First because these Freight Broker’s have a very lenient process as far as registering carriers. For example, CH Robinson accepts carriers with no prior experience and just a fresh MC and DOT number with no history of work.
This might sound good to some of you but in reality it is not. You see these Brokers understand that since your MC and DOT is so new there is very few companies who would be willing to work with you which in turn means less possibility of work.
They understand this and embrace it to the utmost. Each time you call for a load they ask you for your MC number , they look at how many trucks you have and how long you have been in business. It sometimes benefits them to work with a young company because they know that they can pay you three or four times less what the load is really worth and you are still going to accept it .
Not only this but they know they can load you with 45,000 pounds and many times even over weight. And if you get stopped by the DOT it is your problem and it reflects on your MC number and not theirs.
In summary, these old companies understand the situation many carrier companies are in with regards to lack of work and they exploit this to the max.
Stop being exploited by these companies and come onboard to the new wave in Transportation that is Freightship. Sure our registration process is a little more picky but once your in with us we make sure to take utmost care of you ad provide you with the highest quality loads at the best prices.
