Freyr Energy commissions a 100 kW solar plant at APSRTC’s Chittoor bus stand

In an effort to use alternative forms of energy for its daily operations, the APSRTC has decided to tap solar power. Earlier this month, we installed a 100 kW solar plant at APSTRC’s Chittoor bus stand. The rooftop solar project is expected to reduce 137 tons of greenhouse emissions annually, an equivalent of planting 1,563 trees annually and generate annual electricity savings of INR 15 lakhs.

The power generated through its plant would help the community that relies on the bus stand with stable lighting & security round the clock. The enhanced energy infrastructure will also improve the overall customer experience. Commenting on the project Mr Saurabh Marda, our Co-Founder said, “Working with APSRTC team was a great experience. We look forward to continue working with them in upcoming projects also.
