1. In the medieval city of Moscow, there are over 400 museums of all kinds and sizes. First mentioned in 1336, Kolomenskoe is mainly associated with the reign of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in 17th century — Kolomenskoye was his favorite residence. In 1667–1668 Alexei ordered to erect a magnificent wooden palace with 270 rooms, which was cliched as “an Eighth Wonder of the World”. All sovereign’s courtyard is surrounded by a fence with three gates: Front, Back and Garden.
