I am your ally. I am your enemy. I am your friend. I am your worst nightmare. I’ve got your back. You better watch your back. I am your activist friend. I am your lazy neighbor. I am your conservative redneck. I am your liberal elite. I am 350 million sick people. I am vying for resources. I need money. I cannot afford to get sick. I am trying to make things work. I am working 60 hours a week to make ends meet. I am sitting on my butt and playing video games all day. I am trying to reach out. I am pulling away. I am offering my hand. I am self-contained. I want nothing to do with you. I want to meet you and your family. I want to be in your lives. I want to go live in the woods away from everybody. I have hatred in my roots. I have different skin. I am opposed to what you believe. I agree with you. I am rooted in my identity. I think identity politics is poison. I feel your hurt. I don’t care. I am an everyday citizen. I don’t vote. I am an atheist. I am God-fearing. I love my neighbor as myself. I look out for number one. I am Donald Trump. I am Nancy Pelosi. I am Bill Gates. I am Jeff Bezos. I am Vladimir Putin. I don’t understand. I feel sorry for you. I can’t stop loving you. I empathize. I don’t give a shit. I don’t have the time. I don’t have the money. I do have the heart. I am a feminist. I am a Bernie Bro. I am with her. I can’t believe you said that. I am better than you. I have talent. I am a hack. I am worthless. I am everything. I am a drug dealer. I am an artist. I am a construction worker. I am a CEO. I am a janitor. I am an airline PR flack. I am a politician. I am the government. I am the people. I am moving this way. I am staying right here. I demand equal pay. I hate the unions. I love guns. I love hunting. I am a college student. I have eight brothers and sisters. I am an only child. I am a parent. I am two parents. I have debt. I am a genius. I am trying to strike it rich. I am wary of the government. I came from distant shores. I never left my hometown. I am entitled. I support entitlement reform. I am an environmentalist. I don’t believe in wealth redistribution. I am rape culture. I am a woman. I think rape culture is a myth. I am a black man. I am Asian. I am a soldier. I am a mother. I am a lesbian. I am a mongrel. I am an immigrant. I am a Libertarian. I am a human. I am inspired. I am privileged. I have nothing. I am strung out. I am hanging on. I am urgently hoping for change. I am looking for a way out.
