Andrew, I enjoyed reading your article which fortunately appeared in my APPL news feed. You are an enlightened man. The country would be fortunate to have many who think as you do. I immigrated to Canada 12 years ago because I saw US society becoming too terribly fragmented, along social, political and economic boundaries. It’s better here; there’s more cohesion across society at large … and universal health care, alone, evens out some of the social differences, but there is still much to do to slow economic disparities and to give each citizen a fair opportunity to live a decent and dignified life. I view wealth inequality as one of the most pressing issues of our time, and I believe that it will continue to be the source of many of the world’s major problems, including social unrest, destabilized political regimes, and mass migrations. Keep up your good work. Please continue to be a voice on this topic in the US and in the world at large. Cheers.
