If only the average critic of Marxism actually takes some time to actually get to know even the very basics of Marxist theory. The idea of taking new “oppressor-oppressed” dichotomies to replace the classical Marxist conception of class division and class struggle based on ownership of capital is the very thing that any Marxist with a grain of integrity or knowledge vehemently opposes. Not to mention that in politics, there will always be an “us vs them” rhetoric, regardless of where you look at on the political spectrum, politicians will always try to simplify the apparent complex issues of human life to easily understood rhetorics to gather support for themselves, this is not something new or wrong, it’s just a hard fact of life that sheltered individualists need to face.
