Accountapreneur weekend kickstarting Accountability Incubation Program 2019

Accountability Lab Pakistan is an initiative to support youth, civil society activists and social entrepreneurs working around promoting transparency, accountability and responsible citizenship. Through this bottom-up approach, our work supports these leaders to create social awareness, transparency and responsibility among the citizens of Pakistan.

Everyone agrees that mentors help. But can the mentoring relationship work virtually?

The idea of a mentoring program for incubators presented a unique value proposition to us at ONOW Myanmar. We were placed in the virtual cohort of Frontier Incubators, an Australian Aid initiative of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s innovationXchange, and I wasn’t sure how useful the experience could be. A close mentor-mentee relationship is a difficult one to manufacture, but the creation of a virtual cohort added an additional challenge to forming a strong mentoring relationship.

xchange’s Frontier Incubators Learning Journey

Our incubation journey started in 2011, when xchange was first established and began to collaborate with early-stage impact enterprises focused on the Philippines. Even then, xchange provided tailored mentorship and support to help impact enterprises achieve scale and sustainability in the shortest amount of time possible.
