đ FLCleaner 3.0 (Stack Manager)
Introducing The Worlds First âStack ManagerââPC Optimization For Creative Agencies & Software Development HousesâŚ
WORK IN PROGRESS

FLCleaner 3.0 will be released this month.
It is designed to give creative agencies & software development houses
the ability to run their systems at peak performance:

Built on top of the legendary Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0, itâs a breakthrough in PC optimization & performance strategy:

For any company that relies on IT infrastructure, FLCleaner 3.0 is the
ONLY tool that manages your systems from the ground-up.
â
This is NOT a solicitation. If you want to invest into the product for business,
the price is $199.99 per year. You can use it FREE on up to 3 devices â´

Stack Management
FLCleaner 3.0 is a stack manager.
The sole focus is on the SOFTWARE youâre running, not the system itself.
The underlying problem with other optimization tools is they are only able to tweak the system. Whilst this works somewhat to free up resources & add speed, they do NOTHING to help your applications thrive:
[[ image comparison ]]
Whilst using a tool such as Advanced System Care or System Mechanic is fine, they do NOT work at the application level. FLCleaner 3.0 does.
â
As one of FLâs first âintegrated appsâ, FLCleaner 3.0 is able to work
across the FULL spectrum of modern platforms (Win/Mac/Linux, Android/iOS).
It is system optimization on STEROIDS â helping digital creative teams maintain the performance of all their devicesâŚ

The difference lies in how FLCleaner 3.0 manages applications.
Most system optimization tools work on a functionality level â they look at specific (hard coded) system specifications, and âcleanâ junk / temp files:

Although these appear to work, they are HIGHLY disjointed and
EXTREMELY ineffectual for larger networks:
FLCleaner 3.0 is designed SPECIFICALLY for large networks,
and companies who REQUIRE peak performance out of their systems (creative agencies and software development houses).
Itâs designed to give a COMPLETE overview of your network, allowing
you make pertinent decisions on keeping the systems running at peak performance. Task Manager x100.
Not only that, but itâs then able to take the stack youâre running and optimize based on our unique cloud-centered optimization profiles.

The most impressive aspect is the immersive nature of the web app. This is COMPLETELY new â 2D isometric, object orientated.
A truly incredible visual experienceâŚ

âď¸ History âď¸
Since this is our own offering, letâs explain its provenance.
There are a lot of âspeedupâ / âoptimizationâ tools which arenât worth the
time. The big difference is how effective the software is at maintaining your system â an especially important factor when you need to run a lot of applications.
We had a successful âregistry cleanerâ product in 2011 â
Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0. It did well, but (more importantly)
showed that we are sincere and focused on creating solutions:

Designed by our Ukrainian contingent, it was very successfulâŚ
eventually getting stocked by Currys (UKâs largest electronics retailer) â´

Its secret was the engine, which was faster and found more errors than most of the other tools on the market. You can read reviews here:

Whilst successful, we stopped selling it in 2011/2012 to focus on
web application development (PHP / Ruby on Rails / NodeJS / etc)âŚ

We felt a combination of Windows 8 (which was looking increasingly mobile) and declining popularity of registry cleaners wouldnât warrant an upgrade.
â
We started working on a number of projects for clients around the world,
as well as designing a new type of CRM â Frontline Fusion:

This gave us MASSIVE insight into the vital role of system
capacity for creative professionalsâŚ

The NEED to have Photoshop / ZBrush / AutoCAD / 3DSMax / Visual Studio installed, updated and running at OPTIMUM capacity is ESSENTIAL for productivity & output (leading to higher quality projects & clients)âŚ
A carpenter is only as good as his tools
So in 2015, after upgrading to Windows 10, we began developing
a DIFFERENT type of PC optimization toolâŚ

FLCleaner 3.0 was bornâŚ

FLCleaner works on the PLATFORM level to build a profile of your âstackâ.
Each time it loads, it identifies the packages you have installed and then populates a stack profile, showing how much CPU/RAM/HDD/GPU capacity is being used by which application.
The stack profile is sent to our cloud servers, which authenticate and accept the submitted data â making it accessible through the web portal.
Because FLCleaner 3.0 doesnât care which system youâre running, it is not a registry cleaner⌠nor is it a system speedup tool.
Whilst those elements form part of its offering, they are not the sole reason for its existence.

đ Art Direction đ
From our work on Fusion, we developed an underlying âphilosophyâ of product development being that of solution development.
Instead of looking at things from a product level, go deeper to the solution. EVERY product is the best at something, the key is understanding what this is.
We felt FLCleanerâs real value is to give digital creatives the ability to maintain the performance of their systems.
You see it everywhere â offices full of 50â100 workstations, all with 2+ monitors, required to run the likes of ZBrush, Maya, 3DSMax, Photoshop, Visual StudioâŚ

As such, we started to focus our art direction onto getting this stuff working correctly.

đ˝ Developer Notes đ˝
The big deal with this is the 2D ISOMETRIC ENGINE we introduced in the web app. This has never been done before for a piece of functional softwareâŚ

If you want to know how it works, weâll explain briefly here â´
1ď¸âŁ Open Source
You have to appreciate the real value lies in the INTERNET connectivity.
Most donât know this.
From a marketing perspective, this was very important in making certain decisions. Notably, to OPEN SOURCE the front-end application.
To be specific, we felt open sourcing would provide more benefits than disadvantages. It would give us maximum leverage in engaging with a community (rather than trying to sell a product), and would allow us to
work with users directly to solve specific issues.
â
Our primary inspiration for open-sourcing was Atom & SublimeText:
SublimeText was the leading IDE for a long time, with a colorful interface and accurate linting etc. The problem was that because it was a premium product, the developers dictated when it was updated etc.
Whilst Sublime has a support forum, itâs not the same as being able to dive into the code and fix the issue yourself. This is where Atom won out for usâŚ
Atomâs open source policy means that you have access to ALL the code.
Apart from giving assurance in how itâs designed, it also means youâre able to suggest fixes through Github. Itâs a huge boon for the community⌠and free.
The magic of Atom was that it created a market that was not supported by SublimeText. The 90% of users whoâd never pay for ST now just use Atom.
Furthermore, because of Atomâs open source availability, the package ecosystem is as abundant as the central package itself.
This was our aim with FLCleaner 3.0âŚ

By open-sourcing the front-end, we are not only able to provide users with a tool that is both reliable and extensible⌠but with any luck, attract a community whoâll continue to help develop & improve the tool.
Further, the PC Optimization space is RIPE for this.
There are currently around 20+ products available, ALL of which are paid-for products. NOTHING wrong with this. However, if you want to use the tool without
2ď¸âŁ Isometry
in order to build the backend, we had to integrate a number of innovations. As mentioned, Frontlineâs major offering to the world is immersive digital experiences (web applications).
3ď¸âŁ Transparency
Having published Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 via multiple channels, some people took umbrage to the fact it was pay only:
By opening the productâs source, we felt it would give us a major talking point with anyone who wanted to use it.
The other important factor is that when you âsellâ a product, the transaction is generally seen as completed. Depending on what you do for that work, the company will typically become quite disinterested in supporting the buyer after-sale (thereâs no money in it).
Now, we focused on building a community around FLCleaner â allowing us to make offers to the users when the time is right.
