🔧Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 🔧
Frontline re-releases Registry Cleaner 2.0 application 100% free — how to get it and instructions for download
Despite receiving mixed reviews from a number of PC magazine outlets,
it was generally well received and quickly gained a loyal user base.
Frontline have now released FLCleaner 2.0 with no license restrictions.
You can download it 100% for free and use on Windows 7 / 8 / 10 here:
Written in .NET 3.5 and re-targeted to .NET 4.5, FLCleaner 2.0
works on Windows 7, 8 and 10.
Like all registry cleaners (most which don’t work), it scans through the “registry” of Windows, cleaning out any of the potential errors inside…
The difference with Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 is the engine.
Designed by our Ukrainian partners, the engine is (still) the most powerful in the world, removing the largest number of errors & junk files.
This, along with 11 other repair features, are packed into this small application:
- Scans 11 Registry Errors
- Registry Defragmenter
- Junk File Cleaner
- Complete Backup Facility
- Comprehensive Results
- Startup Manager
- Easy-To-Use Design
- Windows 7/8/10 Compatible
- Free Download
In order to explain how this works, and how effective it is, we’ll now detail each of the features for you…
🔋 Home Screen & Scanning Facility
Part of what made Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 so successful was its simplicity, as demonstrated by the Home & Scanning screens.
These are the two screens which will typically be used by 90% of the users.
Unlike other applications, which can be overloaded with worthless features, this tool is able to work without the need of any extra files / settings.
All you need to do is load it up and let it scan. It will detect & remove any of the errors or junk files that your system may have. When loading the application, you simply have to check the various options you wish to scan, and then track the progress on the next screen:
Upon completion of the scan process, you’ll be presented with a summary screen — showing all the errors / junk files discovered from the scan:
The next feature of note is the backup facility.
When using a registry repair tool, you need to appreciate the sensitivity of the data that will be removed or changed:
The Windows registry is one of the most complicated databases many people will ever come into contact with (it stores all the settings for Windows, including your background wallpaper and user information).
If you remove or change just one registry setting incorrectly, you’ll end up with a myriad of potential issues on your system.
Like other good registry repair tools, Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 provides a backup facility. This allows you to save a copy of the registry on your system.
Whilst the system automatically backs up the registry before removing the different errors, there is also a manual backup option too:
🚦 Registry Defrag
Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 also comes with a registry defragmenter tool.
This removes any duplicate or outdated registry entries:
The registry defragmenter basically takes the registry database for your computer and puts it all into the right order again.
This is an automated tool which can boost the speed of your PC dramatically, as many computers have extremely fragmented registries.
🚀 Startup Manager
The other part of the application is a startup manager.
This is a pretty standard piece of functionality, enabling the user to control which applications load with the system:
To appreciate the value this has on a Windows system, you need to remember that Windows loads a number of applications when it starts.
These are called “startup” applications, and include the likes of antivirus applications and drivers. Unfortunately, especially if your system is old, the number of applications you load can significantly impact the load time of the system — one of the primary causes of slow Windows load speeds.
To fix this, you simply can stop certain applications loading at boot. Whilst you can do this with msconfig quite easily (and now with the Task Manager in Windows 10), there is a certain level of satisfaction in letting a simple tool fix it.
🔨 Junk File Cleaner
There is also one of the most powerful junk file cleaning tools available.
Out of all the registry repair tools, the only one which works to clean out real junk files (Internet cache not included ) is Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0:
The main problem with this was that most people are unable to appreciate the power of this because it’s buried within the registry scan itself.
If you want to remove any of the junk files on your system, you need to deselect any of the registry entries and only scan the “junk file” listings (the last 3 of the listing).
⌚️ Automated Scanning
The last feature is the ability to set the tool to automatically initiate a scan:
The main problem for the majority of people is keeping their system running smoothly on a regular schedule. Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 solves this problem by providing a “Schedule” function.
This basically taps into the Windows “Task Scheduler”, it makes it much simpler and efficient to do. In essence, it allows you to set and forget the scanning of your system’s registry and junk files.
The cleaner is able to resolve the following problems:
- Uninstall Entries
- Font Entries
- Shared DLLs
- Application Paths
- Help Files Information
- Windows Startup Items
- File/Path References
- Program Shortcuts
- Empty Registry Keys
- Shell Extensions
- Custom scans
- Automatic scanning with the scheduling tool
- Selection and removal
- Ignore list
- Automatic repair
- Backup and restore
- Startup management
Whilst receiving mixed reviews online, Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 outperformed all other registry repair tools.
