I’m a massive fan of homemade lemonade, and I’m always trying to find ways of adding some extra oomph to the traditional recipe, for this one, I added papaya and mint which really gives it an exotic, unique flavor.

Perfect for summer months, and for any other time of the year. You could also have this as a warm tea-style drink for the winter months.

Here’s the recipe for papaya mint lemonade:

Ingredients:

- 2 cups ripe papaya, peeled, seeded, and diced

- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves

- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)

- 1/2 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

- 4 cups cold water

- Ice cubes

  • Mint sprigs and lemon slices for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a blender, combine diced papaya, mint leaves, and half a cup of cold water. Blend until smooth.

2. Strain the papaya-mint mixture using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher to remove any pulp.

3. In the pitcher, add freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey or agave syrup, and the remaining 3.5 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine.

4. Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or agave syrup.

5. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours to enhance the flavors.

6. Before serving, add ice cubes to the pitcher and stir. Pour the papaya mint lemonade into glasses.

7. Garnish each glass with a mint sprig and a slice of lemon.

8. Enjoy your refreshing Papaya Mint Lemonade!

Feel free to customize the sweetness and mintiness according to your taste preferences. Cheers!
