You see overlap occurring between roles, industries, and markets all the time. Classic example is what’s going on in finance. Firms realized it’s easier to teach engineers finance and leverage their engineering in a financial setting. Very difficult to take a finance person and teach them engineering.
My point is that often one group is more difficult to learn / enter than the other. In regards to artists and designers, do you see one as being more difficult to enter or are they completely different mindsets?
Great article, just wondering if companies could have more success teaching artists design, or teaching designers art. Or maybe these two fields work in tandem but are separate.
