Blocked by Xeni

A poem about what it is like to be blocked on Twitter by an influential person

when I see her all over the Twitter stream universe

I am struck fresh in the heart!

Breathless clutch to the chest wrench of stupidity

what have I done what did I say

to deserve this

I must be a bad feminist. Barred from the club

Was my tough love too harsh? impound,

judgement of her scepter

cold, ostracized among the petty sand

the mind runs ragged

It is a great shame in my life to be blocked

unable to spread the message of Xeni

to propagate her feat, postulate

token of strength emulate

no, don’t suggest it, the manual RT is crude

I don’t know what I did, cursed,

bad joke or awful fate, too rude—

How can I write, operate

while enduring this anguish?

I’ve paid my penance, please send help

I promise to fawn, pant wag tail

my armor is polished and my sword is drawn

Oh so dramatic on the digital,

infobahn

my driver swivels, lip gloss eyeline smear into the reverie

avoiding the incoming traffic
