XDAG project’s new wallet — called ‘XDAG-Pro’ — is developed using flutter technology, which can be developed across platforms, including Linux, MacOS, Windows, Android, and iOs.
It can greatly reduce the development effort, while having a higher experience and more secure design.
The application has just been released on Android for a test period in which the whole XDAG community is called to participate.
XDAG-Pro currently only runs on the Testnet, which will allow those who wish to test it in great detail.
Here is a guided tour that will help you get familiar with this new wallet that will soon be deployed on other OS.
1°/ Install XDAG-Pro
The latest Android version of XDAG-Pro can be found here on Github.
Your Android device might warn you about the potential danger of installing an application from an unknown source.
Rest assured, this file has been tested with VirusTotal, it is guaranteed 100% safe !
Go to your download manager and press install. Confirm your choice if necessary.
2°/ First contact with XDAG-Pro
The first screen of XDAG-Pro will propose you to create or import a wallet. In this case, we will create one. You will be asked for a legal notice, check the box “I have read…” then press “Continue”.
3°/ XDAG-Pro security
You will then be asked to create a 6-digit code to secure access to your application. Confirm your code when asked.
4°/ Biometric settings
You will then be asked to use the biometric sensor of your Android device to identify yourself, which will strengthen the security of the application.
5°/ Wallet creation
You will then have to give a name to your wallet (here “My XDAG bad” in the example).
Check the box, press “Continue” and you will arrive at the main screen of XDAG-Pro.
6°/ Securing the wallet
The previous screen shows you that your wallet is not secure (red banner on top). Press it, and the security screen appears. Press “Start”.
A mnemonic key composed of 12 words in English will be proposed to you. Write it down in a secure place, it’s the only way you will be able to find your wallet in case of an incident. Then press “Next”.
You will then need to enter the 12 words that make up the mnemonic key so that XDAG-Pro can ensure that you have written them down correctly. Press “Continue”.
The program will then confirm that you have correctly completed the step of securing your wallet. Press “Continue”.
7°/ Wallet options
XDAG-Pro will then display your wallet, you can change its name
You will also be able to display its mnemonic key as shown on the screenshot.
On the screen listing your wallet, press the arrow pointing down in the upper left corner of the screen, you will return to the main screen.
8°/ Contact management
The home screen now shows a blue “Security” icon indicating that your wallet is safe.
Now press the “Contacts” icon at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to a list of wallets with which you can make transactions. It is advisable to press on the sign ‘+’ in top on the right to add our first contact.
Enter the name of the contact in the first field, then the address of his address in the second. Then press “Continue”.
Your new contact will now appear in the list. By pressing on his name, you can delete him, rename him or send him funds.
9°/ Conclusion
You can then return to the home screen by pressing the “Wallet” icon at the bottom left.
The XDAG-Pro wallet also offers you the possibility to define settings. Press the “Setting” icon to access these options.
