Transfer XDAG from old wallet

This quick tutorial will explain how to transfer your funds from an old goXdagWallet (0.5.6 and lower) to a new wallet (0.6.0 and higher).

1°/ Requirements

• Have a fully functionnal goXdagWallet 0.5.x with wallet files inside xdagj_dat folder

xdag_dat content folder

• Download goXdagWallet 0.6.x last release.

2°/ Create a temporary wallet

• Unzip goXdagWallet to a new folder
• Run goXdagWallet
• Click “Create or Import Wallet”

• Select “Import Non Mnemonic” and “Confirm”

• Then browse to your old wallet, folder ‘xdagj_dat’ (inside it)

• Click “Open”

• Enter your old password wallet
• You’ll retrive your old wallet :

3°/ Create your final new wallet

Same process as above :

• Unzip goXdagWallet to a new folder (not the same than previously, a new one !!!!)
• Run goXdagWallet
• Click “Create or Import Wallet”
• Select “Create Mnemonic” and “Confirm”.

• Enter strong password twice

• And then you’ll enter in wallet.

4°/ Transfer funds

To illustrate my explanations, I took the example of my personal wallet. The new address (on the right) had already received some XDAG thanks to the mining.

• On “old address” wallet, click “Transfert”
• Copy the receiving address (of the new wallet)
• Enter the amount to be transferred minus the decimal points
• Type a remark
• Click on “Transfer”
• Confirm transaction, click “Yes”

That’s all !

5°/ Proof of success

Wait 3–5 mintes and you’ll get funds on new wallet :
