Fung Fellowship Class of 2020 Profile

The Fung Fellowship for Wellness and Technology Innovations celebrates their second cohort of Cal undergraduates

In August 2018, a new cohort of 55 undergraduate students began their journey as Fung Fellows. Handpicked for their passion for health and wellbeing, ability to take initiative, expertise in their field, a natural curiosity, and drive to make a difference; these Fellows joined the program with an enthusiasm and readiness to hit the ground running. While these attributes unite the Class of 2020, their strength and capacity for impact are also founded in their diversity of perspectives, areas of study, and life experiences.

Therefore, when asked to describe ‘Fung Fellows’ the answer is far from simple or short-winded. It is the intentional individual differences, along with the collective caliber, compassion, and creativity that make this cohort of students unlike any other on Cal’s campus. Throughout the Fellowship, Fellows are well poised to develop as leaders and innovators as they design breakthrough technology solutions to society’s most pressing health and wellness challenges.
