Plan Ahead
It's begining to feel like I don't have a story to tell.
Like I couldn't possibly think of anything to say.
Why though?
I honestly wondered except as I started to write this article, a solution occured, one everyone is familiar with, and that is outlining.
You know how they say planning ahead helps to make that journey a lot smoother and easier.
I think that is how it is for me too.
This is an edit...
And earlier this morning there was a writing I had to rush through because I had procrastinated until the mention of a deadline and guess what I did.
First, I tried to get on with it normally and just write the story as it came, but it wasn't how it was supposed to go.
So I paused and went ahead with outlining the chapters and guess what, I was very happy writing.
I was enjoying planning the journey ahead and by the head of it, I knew I figured it out in the best way ever. It just felt like it.
The outlining and planning the chapters ahead instead of just getting on with it gave me this feeling of preparedness that gave me confidence. I know now that I will most likely not procrastinate the next time I open that document.
I am just so ready now!
And the edit ends here...
In fact, the word should be Adequate Planning Ahead.
Because I did plan ahead, even though my only plan was to write.
I ought to have had a set of topics I would want to write in and then sort all of that out before actually proceeding to write my first topic this year.
But it's okay, now that I have figured it out, it's cool.
I believe I can now go on with looking forward to having a smoother journey.
I will of course update you in case of any bumps or issues I might come across, but that asides, something just came up.
Not around me, I meant in my head of course.
You know how random thoughts pop up, yeah, this one just came like that and while I was getting distracted writing the topic and thinking of the next word to write, I forgot.
Now that just reminds me so well of the importance of jotting things down.
Whether you are a forgetful person, or someone who has a memory the size of a hundred million terabites, you should still jot stuff down.
Stuff like ideas that you know, thoughts, imaginations and even dreams. Ink them as soon as they occur. So whether you forget them or not they are there.
And whether you are an hoarder or not, you still have them and they usually end up as things you'll find useful in the future.
In the times you literally have nothing to come up with. In the most desperate times.
And this is me forgetting something again because I did not jot it down.
So I agree that it is easier said than done.
Practical wasn't always the easiest to pass.
Just like in life.
You can have it all laid out in your head, looking perfect and all, but the moment you have to do something about its there is a fumble and most times, it wouldn't even be your fault.
I believe life is just like that.
Because even though you, just like me believe that everything that happens to us is a consequence of our actions, there are still things that happen that one cannot avoid.
Why? Because we aren't exactly everywhere.
You know the ripple effect?
How things you do can affect the lives of the most strangest and most distant strangers?
Yeah, it's like that too, sometimes, the things that happen in our lives are just as a result of the actions of some distant stranger that we would probably never ever come across in our entire lifetime, no matter the sum.
Yeah, life is just like that.
And selecting this image right now brings me to another thing that bugs our lives, our thoughts and being.
You know the aspect of our lives that we go through and makes us believe that we are alone.
The painful parts that just make us look around and feel like there could never be someone else with the same feelings as you on that matter.
Oh well, new news, because there is no one in this life that is alone.
Like me there is definitely someone else out there who thinks her friendship with one of her male friends is going to end eventually for the same reasons as mine.
There is someone writing a blog or something on their bed covered by their duvet and resting on the wall while wondering if there is someone like her.
This doesn't in any way take the edge off your being unique.
Rather it just makes you in your entirety even more special (if there is a word like that).
Do you think you're the most alone person in the world? Well there is someone who thinks the same for probably the same reason.
Do you think you are the only one who dreamt about the crush who you thought you had gotten over?
Did you think it was so crazy and interesting the way you had a story that could make you a bestseller from those hours of sleep with your crush being as cool as ever?
Well it wasn't just you!
How do I know this, you wonder...
Because me too!
What makes you feel alone?
What are you going through that makes you feel so at the edge because of how lonely it feels to feel like there could possibly not be someone else with those thoughts, well look ahead at the wide expanse of land in front of you, because there are others too with same feeling for same reasons.
So smile.
And this is not in any way a post to make you feel like your feelings aren't valid because there are people who feel the same way.
Rather, it is one to remind you that your feelings are still the most unique and valid as you feel them and that YOU AREN'T ALONE.
Feel free to note how you feel right now.
The good, all of the bad, all of the unfigurable...
I meant the feelings you can't exactly figure out right now.
Write it down in your most expressive form and remember that there is someone else doing the same, so once again, smile.
Because it's a beautiful thing.
A very beautiful one that you should let yourself and your mind conceive and see and feel this beauty of human nature.
And yeah, if you do know my crush for some reason, don't tell him I dreamt of him.
I would be too embarrassed.
I hope and want to believe that this was a beautiful read or in the least, it was impactful for you.
I love you☺️😘
