Drink Entrepreneurs Nairobi

DrinkEntrepreneurs Nairobi is a community where entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and like-minded individuals meet once a month or more to informally socialize, collaborate and inspire each other. With the primary goal to help young entrepreneurs and early stage businesses innovate, DE Nairobi is an integral part of Nairobi’s thriving startup community.
 
 DrinkEntrepreneurs Nairobi is a member of the global umbrella organization, DrinkEntrepreneurs. Currently, DrinkEntrepreneurs operates in cities around the world including San Francisco, Paris, Hong Kong, Dublin, Singapore, Bruxelles, Seoul, London, Geneve, Shanghai, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Kunming and Beijing.

Seedstars World

We continued our partnership with Seedstars World to run the Nairobi edition which saw Inuka Pap emerge the local winner and will head to Switzerland next April to compete for $1.5M USD prize money.

Seedstars World is the worldwide startup competition, on the ground in 65+ countries, with four regional summits and a global summit in Switzerland. Its objective is to identify leading startups from all regions and provide them with value added services such as mentoring, networking and access to funding.

Startup Weekend Education, Nairobi

A great year for local education entrepreneurs as 2 editions of SWEDU Nairobi which we Co-Organized with the amazing team at EdTech, in April and November respectively, and supported by amazing partners. Their website for Education enthusiasts.

Startup Weekend is a 54 hour event where you will experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life at startups. As you learn how to create a real company, you’ll meet the very best mentors, investors, co-founders, and sponsors who are ready to help you get started.

The hardest part of starting up is starting out. At Startup Weekend, you’ll be immersed in the ideal environment for startup magic to happen. Surrounded by smart, passionate people and with the best tools and approaches at your disposal, you’ll take giant leaps toward creating a business, becoming a founder, and connecting with the right people and resources.

Nairobi Game Jam

The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest game jam event (game creation) taking place around the world at physical locations. Think of it as a hackathon focused on game development. Through this event, we aim to spark the creativity of local gamers, developers and creatives to develop more local games that can compete globally.

Kairos k50 (Founders Under 26 Opportunity)
