Startupbootcamp Nairobi “Fast Track” hosted by UAP Old Mutual & Fuse Catalysts
Highlights of Startupbootcamp first Africa-Based program launched in Cape Town:

- The 3 month program will be accelerating 10 startups in September 2017
- Startupbootcamp Cape Town is backed by leading corporate BNP Paribas, RCS, and PwC
- Core focus on building innovative solutions and the program is specifically scouting for startups in blockchain, connected devices, payment solutions, capital markets and asset management, integrated supply chain, e-commerce, alternative financing, identity management, digital connectivity, data and behavioral analytics and enabling technologies.
We, Fuse Catalysts are excited to have been a sponsor and local organizing partner for the Nairobi “Fast Track” to identify local startups for the day long 1-to-1 pitch and mentorship session with local & regional corporate mentors. The event was hosted by UAP Old Mutual at their Upperhill Towers office, Nairobi’s central business district also known for its magnificent skyscrapers.
The corporate jury & mentors included: UAP Old Mutual Group Strategy Executive Martin Karenju; UAP Old Mutual Head of Innovation Stanley Gabriel, Digital Payments consultant Lebogang Mokgabudi, GE Africa MD Development & Investments Vishal Agrawal, Kenya Jumia Foods MD Duncan Muchangi, Bitpesa Regional BD Manager David Yen, Fondry Africa Fonder Roy Wachira, and Afrinet Capital Founding Partner Declan Magero. This alongside the fantastic Startupbootcamp Africa team: co-MD Philip Kiracofe &Operations Manager Rob Spangenberg.
