Celebrating New York Times’ Anonymous Op-ed on Trump is Unpatriotic

America is a Great country. It was built on the primary principle of democracy- “A government of the people, by the people”. So it is; that every four years, Americans who are convinced that they have the ideas and the vision to lead and reshape America are required to seek for the people’s blessing, approval and mandate to make their own vision a reality.
It is important to note that; their vision is not required to be “right” or “correct”. All that is required is for the American people to buy into that vision, and that American, across America, enough for them to sacrifice their time and strength queuing at polling places to cast their ballot for same. That is all the constitution requires- Only at the ballot, can “right”, “correct” or “wrong” be determined. Mr. Donald Trump, whether you like him or not, is such an American.
Mr. Donald Trump isn’t some military despot who took power with force, convincing by the whims of guns and bullets. He didn’t become president by chance, winning a lottery for the Oval office. He wasn’t appointed by a King or a god- He is not a prime minister. He is not even an “unelected” Vice President transformed into President by force majeure. No. Mr. Donald Trump is a duly elected President of The United States of America.
He was elected after going across the country, campaigning for votes without pretense. He spoke to the American people: He asked them to give him the power to carry out “his” vision. He asked for their mandate. And despite all the craziness, all the tapes, all the mud, all the insults, all the “truths” and all the well crafted counter “correct” arguments- they obliged. They gave Mr. Donald Trump their mandate- “A government of the people, by the people”.
But what do we have today? Today, we have a coup plotter or coup plotters nicknamed “Anonymous”, aided and abetted by The New York Times, being celebrated for their confessed actions and continued attempts to handicap the people’s mandate. We have people who claim to believe in democracy celebrating the usurpation of democratically awarded power by actors in the shadows and knives in the darkness. There could be nothing more unpatriotic than these. Nothing, more unAmerican. It is the literal equivalent of having aided, abetted, sheltered or celebrated Lee Harvey Oswald or John Wilkes Booth.
