Congratulations. You cite technology outpacing the industry as a reason to carve new roadways and joining a creative collective as a way forward. If technology outpaces the industry, and industry outpaces design education, where does that leave student just graduating? As an upcoming graduate, I am left wanting to tackle design at the scale and importance of the topics as you raise, but confronted with the reality that my undergraduate program did not even teach human centered design methodologies. I am currently seeking out supplemental education resources on IDEOU and DesignLab. I am curious what your thoughts are for people in my situation and the role of educational institutions in this shifting landscape.
