you clearly don’t know how averages work. if you get a paycheck from an NFL team, whether you play or not, you are an NFL running back, and to limit the pool of players considered in an average of NFL careers at a position to those who play is similar to limiting it to players who have played a full season or more. some people make it to the NFL and never play, they are part of the data field.
