This was a great article! You write so poetically, it really is captivating. What I found most compelling about your piece is the way you explain how abortion policies are fundamentally caused by relations between men and women and how one feels about the other- men subconsciously refuse to relinquish the control they have over women by allowing them a choice in whether or not to be occupied by men’s DNA. You essentially describe the sexual act as one of control and dominance, at least in the sociological sense, rather than one of love and devotion. This is a side of the abortion debate that I think many do not consider when deciding to uphold women’s reproductive rights and it’s critically important to understand the impact that outlawing abortions can have on individuals.
