Who are we?
Physical health and fitness has been an important aspect of human life since the primitive ages, where a better physical health was correlated with better ability to hunt animals and feed your tribe. Perhaps the most physically fit society of all time was Ancient Greece, whose philosophy around both mental and physicalhealth and strength was deeply rooted into their society and general education.
Fast-forward to today, the modern era of careers, computers and cash. One thing is blatantly apparent: the majority of people are out of shape. The majority of people also know little about their own physical health and what it takes to change that. As a result, the personal training and health industries have been booming — we have more supplements, more training forms and more gyms than ever. Similarly, Personal Trainers are as expensive as ever, charging a massive premium for a service that should be far more accessible. Socioeconomically, it just happens to be that the people who need guidance in training and health the most are also those who can afford it the least.
The thing that should be A and O in our daily lives, a healthy body, mind and happiness (all of which regular exercise promotes — better than anything else) is also what we seem to neglect the most.
FYTNS wants to change that. We understand that life is busy. That learning takes time. That training is hard.
We understand that its hard for a overly skinny guy to go into a gym with thirty meat heads hogging the benches.
For the overweight girl to feel comfortable jogging in the city.
For the busy businessman who doesn’t have regularity in his schedule to book a personal trainer at set times every week.
For the stay at home mom who is already juggling ten different tasks and can’t find headspace to plan her training.
