An easy stat, in the US, to point to on the burdens of the population entering the workforce population (the Millennials) is the participation ratio. The number of people working, and very particularly, at what levels, have never been lower. Therefore, they are carrying the largest population, at the highest standard of living, ever known in the US. Unfortunately for them, this trend does not seem to be moving in a different direction.

Sustainability of this trend may soon come into question.
