Sexism is Hard to Explain
Kel Campbell

I may not be able to understand the same feelings as you, but I can definitely describe similar capitulations I make every day to coexist with the women in my life. To me, it is the compromise we make to, you know, coexist. I can only operate as I know how.

Everyone has their pet-peeves, everyone has their taboos, and everyone has their boundaries. If I want to coexist with someone, I have to respect who they are, and how they establish those pet-peeves, taboos, and boundaries. I cannot respect those things if they are not established.

Personally, I try to keep that in mind when someone may offend me through ignorance versus intention. I find myself offended far less, and enjoying company far more that way. We all have our own standards for such social interactions. I am not here to tell you how to operate your life.
