Silicon Valley’s Unchecked Arrogance
Ross Baird

I’ve written a little bit about the Universal Basic Income concept myself. This seems like something that could be accomplished through a well-constructed endowment, and could be instituted at a municipality-wide level (you could start in Silicon Valley if you’d like), and scale up as it becomes feasible. Those few, with their massive capital concentration, could definitely seed an endowment that could sustain itself through proper investment of an endowment, and using the investment income to pay the applicable users.

So far, I haven’t received any feedback from this idea. If it’s a stupid idea, I would appreciate someone messaging me discreetly and letting me know I’m blowing my idiot whistle a little too loudly.
