This is a great topic, and your ideas are very practical, thanks. I have a question about building a coalition for change in the newsroom.
Teams usually have both official and unofficial hierarchies. I found it useful to focus coalition building on influencers: not only official — like desk/beat editors — but especially those unofficial — the guys who are often the most liked, the most admired, or the most respected among peers. If turned, they may become role models for the change for others and your ambassadors among their peers. What is your take on this? What’s your experience?
