Uh, yeah — it’s ALWAYS been worse for people the further you go back. ’Cause we’re improving with each generation — civil rights, technology, hell we saw BDSM go mainstream! Truly it is a wonderful time to be alive, my only complaint is that I wasn’t born even further into the future where cars will finally effing fly and my dad won’t be pulled over for BWD (Black While Driverless). Then again, I’m convinced of a Gattaca-type situation so…yeah, every generation has it’s woes but that shouldn’t preclude us from acknowledging progenitors who had it bad — and yes, worse than us. 
Nothing throw-away about it, Millennial bitching WOULD be laughable to our progenitors. “Oh, you want maternity leave from your Media Consultant job? Yeah. My choices were secretarial school, then babies.” 
But that’s the point, they’re the ones who struggled to get us here — and no one is saying we don’t have the right to bitch and moan, that’s how the next generation gets shit like g-d maternity leave! But to deny the fact that Millennials got it made in the shade by comparison is an affront to the suffering and sacrifices made by progenitors. 
So go ahead and piss, bitch and moan — just maybe consider doing it about something that effing matters.
