America once elected a Democrat-turned-Republican actor to be the President. Californians once elected a Democrat-friendly Republican bodybuilder and actor to be Governor. The Republican Party may now have to nominate a former Democrat supporting Republican businessman and actor.

I used to think the path to the White House favored someone with a solid academic background, some military experience, and a track record of participation in local politics. Now I’m thinking you need to head to Hollywood first.

I guess the best training to becoming a politician is to learn how to be an actor after all.
