An Amazingly Bad Monday That Turned Out To Be Just Fine

Day 295/365: It’s one of those Mondays…

I woke up with rain pouring down my opened window this morning. My mom yelled at me for it, and she was right to be doing so because I was an idiot for letting the window open while the heating was on in the house.

I took nothing but a hoodie on me in the morning. Besides it being too thin to keep me warm for my 25-minutes walk to work (yes, I walk to the office now) it made me sweat all over my back from my backpack.

At work, I realised the Wi-Fi was working extremely slowly. Like, I’d open Facebook and the email and if one of them would open, the other one would say there’s no internet for me. It’s like they can’t function at the same time on the same internet connection. Then I saw that my phone was working fine, so I’m now thinking about taking a hammer and destroying this HP.

I might get a Macbook.

I might get another HP.

I might break this desk down, buy 100 sheep and start a cheese business. I’ve always admired nature and it’s blissful peace.

But that peace would drive me nuts in a week or so. Just me and nature and my thoughts? No, thank you. I can do some distraction at any time.

Then, my water bottle broke and spilt all over the desk and my backpack. Now I’ll have to walk back with a wet backpack and a wet T-shirt and I’ll probably catch a cold. Which is not great because next Saturday I’m leaving for two weeks of travels. That’s going to be fun!

This was not a very great Monday, but at least it’s almost over and I can focus on my travels and forget about the bad Wi-Fi, the weather or the fact that I’m simply broke because of the travels.

Five hours later…

It is now after work. I’m just two hours away from posting this daily piece and the title has been modified. After I came back home and resumed my work, Monday took another turn for the better this time. I got some invoices paid by my lovely clients, PayPal sent me some money and I can now confirm that most of my November will be spent on the road.

That’s as good as a Monday can get, really.

Yes, I’m a mood changer, I know. But, aren’t we all?
