Basic Income Spending For Dummies

Day 287/365: It’s not nuclear science, but basic math…

People always complain about not having enough money.

It’s universal.

What people forget to do is actually take some time to see why is it that they don’t have enough money all of the time. This can only happen when one of the two following rules are broken:

  1. People spend way more money than they produce;
  2. People think their money is worth more than they actually are.

The only way you’ll ever be able to say “I have enough money” is to find a way to manage demand and supply. If you have a good job and can do some money on the side, you can have a good life without overworking your ass out. The secret is in spending money on stuff you really need.

I never overspend and can honestly say I had leftover money every single month this year. And no, I don’t do a lot of money. I do enough money for food, utilities, repairing the car once in a while, clothes, and travel, of course.

If you are able to split your income into expenses that you have to pay each month and expenses that you’d like to spend money on, you’ll immediately see what’s important and what can be put on hold.

Monthly expenses you have to pay:

  • rent;
  • food and drinks;
  • transportation;
  • utilities;
  • house or car repairs;
  • other bills.

Monthly expenses you can put on hold:

  • takeout food every night;
  • expensive clothes;
  • fancy parties;
  • travels.

That’s it really. Whenever you feel like you’re running out of money, just cut some of the not-so-urgent expenses and put that money on the monthly mandatory expenses instead. Your money problems are now solved.

You’re welcome.

What, you thought you’ll find an extensive guide about how to make more money and spend at your will every day? Who am I, Richard Branson?
