Breaking The Rules

Day 317/365: Rules? I don’t follow rules. I follow logic.

Rules are meant to be broken.

People will tell you it’s not OK to be on your own. To not have a normal job. No not have a girlfriend/be married by a certain age. To not get out of the norm. They will see you as a bad person if you’re out of the norm. If you do things differently.

People will even tell you it’s not OK for you to be happy. Because most people live by this rule of constantly being negative and sad about their lives.

They are always unsatisfied by their jobs. Always complaining about their cars, houses, furniture, food, drinks and money. Always feeling unpleased and unloved by their wives. Always disappointed about their children.

People live by the rules they create for themselves, even if most of these rules are simply toxic. The worst part is, people don’t even realise it until it’s too late. Until they’re on their death beds and ready to say good bye to this life they lived in a lie for years on end.

Rules are just simple ideas that we impose on our own selves and that, most of the times, are not real or helpful. Make sure you’re always evaluating the rules that you’re living by. Do it now, break them and start living before it’s too late.
