Coming Home After A Trip

Day 278/365: The only cure against it is to book another trip

I can’t help it but feel sad and empty whenever a trip is over. I’m right now just coming back home from a week-long trip to Egypt. I saw the pyramids, the Red Sea, Alexandria, I took a cruise on the Nile, basically I did everything any tourist does. I even got a pic with a camel and the pyramids on the background, because that’s what you do with 5 bucks here.

Everybody asks for tips, by the way, so be prepared.

Coming home from a trip like this is hard. I need to get back into the routine now, set up my laptop, look for some new clients, schedule work with my existing ones, get back on the track with this blog, setting up my new blog that I’ll be launching soon and so on.

I think it’s only natural to feel a certain way, a certain not-so-great way about this because who in their right mind would feel amazing after coming back home from such a trip? Yes, you do feel amazing because of what you saw and did, but once you’re home, it’s all back to the basics.

The only cure for me is to book another trip. That’s the only thing that works. That’s therapy for me after coming home from any trip. As soon as I know where and when I’m going to next, as soon as I book my flights and pay for my hotel, I’m good to go regardless if my next trip is in 2 days or 2 months.

I woke up at 3 AM this morning so, for now, excuse me but I’m going to bed.
