How To Not Pass Out Because Of The Heat Wave

Day 207/365: I almost did. But then I saved it!

I can’t remember a summer without heat. Extreme heat. This summer though, it’s been chilled and even rainy for weeks on end.

Until today.

Today, the 26th of July, was probably the hottest day of this summer. It was scorching hot. And guess what? Today I had to travel to the passports office to get my very first passport. I’m travelling to Egypt this year!

My idea was simple: take the first train out to Timisoara, go to the office at the specified hour and minute of the reservation, do the picture and sign the papers, have some KFC, go home and work.

The problem was, there was no train for me to take back home before 2 in the afternoon. But there are hitchhiking spots from where you can leave in minutes towards home.

I decided to walk the almost 2 kilometres to the main road in order to get a ride home. Who needs busses or a taxi, right?

Me!!

I almost passed out, it was that hot. Well, not reall, but still! My mind was somehow still in “cold summer” mode, but when reality struck me and I began to sweat like a fat guy on a small bike in the middle of the street, things got less pretty, very fast.

Luckily for me, I had some water and kept drinking it. Which is now my only advice to you people who are dealing with heat beyond the ordinary.

PRO TIP: Drink a lot of goddamn water!

I’m off to take 4 showers now, then sleep until the next morning. Keep cool!
