I Have No Time For Writer’s Block

Day 261/365: So I just transcend the situation…

This is what you do when you have a writer's block as a writer: you just transcend the situation. You don’t resolve it, because you can’t solve an unsolvable problem. You don’t ignore it, because you can’t do that either. You simply move along with it.

In this case, the problem is this: I need to write something on this blog for the 261st day of this year. I can’t think of absolutely anything interesting to write about today, and the problem is, the 30 minutes I’m able to spend on this particular task (that nobody pays me for, by the way) are closing in.

I even asked for some help on Instagram, but nobody replied in the past 5 minutes. With 3 minutes left to spare, I can think of nothing better to write about for today than writing about writer's block itself. Yes, this is what us writers do when we hit the infamous block.

We write about it!

Writer's block is a bitch especially when you have a busy morning. I need to deliver two 1000-word articles in the next three hours. That’s paid content, of course. I can’t sit here and let my creative juices flow because there’s no time for freshly squeezed brain juice.

The best I can do is work with what I have, which is a poor man’s version of bottled OJ. Writing about writer's block. It works, it lets me move on and it does the trick of moving this challenge forward without issues.

Thanks to this writer's block, I now have an entire article about this phenomenon which I’ve encountered many times, but never to this extent of staying in front of a screen for 20 minutes and have nothing to write about. Luckily, the 30 minutes are now up so I’ll go ahead and add the pics and the links and call it a blogging day.

Thank you for your time!
