My 101 Favourite Things, Part 3: jobs, gifts, suspenseful moments and desserts

Day 72/365: What are my absoulte favourites in various domains

A.S.: Starting from Sunday, March 11th, I’m taking a Spring vacation from work and from blogging. This doesn’t mean the 365 days writing challenge is over, but I’ll sort of cheat and still come up with one article per day until Saturday, March 17th, when I’ll be back home. Here’s what I came up with for these next 7 days!

Talking to you guys is one of the best things about this blog. I don’t yet have a big community around it, but the few of you that read and comment around here are great people and I’m glad of having you around.

As for the month of March, as we all agreed to give the blog a “favourites” overall, but not strict topic, I decided to give this Fast Sundays, and the following 6 days of the next week, up for this topic alone.

I’ll do it in batches of 15 questions per day, totalling 105 questions at the end of the week. Without further to do, here are my favourite books, movies, foods and everything else that I thought might be interesting for you to know:

31. My favorite flower or plant, personally grown?

Snowdrops, free from my garden every Spring.

32. My best hair day ever?

My hair is a mess, I can’t answer this one.

33. The best gift I’ve ever gotten: what and from whom?

A scratch map of the world from a friend.

34. My most suspenseful moment?

My second date ever, I was so nervous! Oh, youth…

35. My most unexpected achievement?

A World of Warcraft rare mount.

36. The most rewarding volunteer experience I’ve ever had?

I think this questionnaire has its fair share of repetitive questions…

37. My favorite paid employment, ever?

The local newspaper where I’ve worked for 4 years.

38. The best dessert I’ve ever eaten?

Panzerotti with pistachios in the middle of Milan.

39. The prettiest natural landscape I’ve ever seen?

Repeated question number 2!

40. The most scared I’ve been by a bug or critter?

When my mom got bitten by a spider and her hand got big and blue.

41. My favorite household chore?

Laying around on the couch and watching TV.

42. My favorite piece of jewelry I’ve ever bought for myself?

A fake gold ring.

43. The best cup of coffee I’ve ever had?

I don’t do coffee, but I loved the cappuccino I had in Venice.

44. The hardest question a child has ever asked me?

Why is your dog so scary?

45. The most important time I’ve had to “be there” for a friend?

When one of my friends got into an accident.

This whole marathon was really like an “Oracle”, a game we used to play years ago in which we’d have to answer questions in someone else’s notebook on different topics, much like the article above. Feel free to answer 2 or 3 or more questions from the list above about yourself, in the comments below.

Thank you for your time!
