My 101 Favourite Things, Part 4: health, lies, kindness and smells

Day 73/365: What are my absoulte favourites in various domains

A.S.: Starting from Sunday, March 11th, I’m taking a Spring vacation from work and from blogging. This doesn’t mean the 365 days writing challenge is over, but I’ll sort of cheat and still come up with one article per day until Saturday, March 17th, when I’ll be back home. Here’s what I came up with for these next 7 days!

Talking to you guys is one of the best things about this blog. I don’t yet have a big community around it, but the few of you that read and comment around here are great people and I’m glad of having you around.

As for the month of March, as we all agreed to give the blog a “favourites” overall, but not strict topic, I decided to give this Fast Sundays, and the following 6 days of the next week, up for this topic alone.

I’ll do it in batches of 15 questions per day, totalling 105 questions at the end of the week. Without further to do, here are my favourite books, movies, foods and everything else that I thought might be interesting for you to know:

46. The most unusual pet I’ve ever had?

I almost owned an iguana, but then I didn’t.

47. The prettiest shiny object I’ve ever owned?

A multicoloured bed lamp.

48. The most treasured book in my library?

Short Stories from Alaska by Jack London, I love that tiny book as it’s one of the first books that I’ve ever read entirely.

49. The most important tool in my craft or hobby kit?

My pen, I can’t get organised without my pen and my notebook. Evernote and other programs never work for me.

50. The coolest handmade gift I ever gave anyone?

A $50 note that I signed. Does that count? I hope so.

51. The best anonymous thing I have ever done or given?

I donate money from time to time to some causes I see in the local media and I never tell about it to anyone.

52. The most healthy and vital time in my life?

Still not accounted for.

53. The worst thing I ever got away with?

Lying to my girlfriend about not forgetting her birthday.

54. The kindest thing a stranger ever did for me?

Looking for my baggage in a crowded train station, and then not running away with them.

55. The kindest thing I ever did for a stranger?

Offering to buy dinner to a homeless person.

56. Favorite perfume?

None.

57. Favorite household cleaner smell?

Lavander.

58. Favorite outdoor smell?

Seashore.

59. Most fun I ever had on a Saturday night?

One night in Skopje, best night ever.

60. Favorite song I ever danced to; with whom?

I can’t dance, so…

This whole marathon was really like an “Oracle”, a game we used to play years ago in which we’d have to answer questions in someone else’s notebook on different topics, much like the article above. Feel free to answer 2 or 3 or more questions from the list above about yourself, in the comments below.

Thank you for your time!
