My 101 Favourite Things, Part 6: childhood, cooking, family and secret item

Day 75/365: What are my absoulte favourites in various domains

A.S.: Starting from Sunday, March 11th, I’m taking a Spring vacation from work and from blogging. This doesn’t mean the 365 days writing challenge is over, but I’ll sort of cheat and still come up with one article per day until Saturday, March 17th, when I’ll be back home. Here’s what I came up with for these next 7 days!

Talking to you guys is one of the best things about this blog. I don’t yet have a big community around it, but the few of you that read and comment around here are great people and I’m glad of having you around.

As for the month of March, as we all agreed to give the blog a “favourites” overall, but not strict topic, I decided to give this Fast Sundays, and the following 6 days of the next week, up for this topic alone.

I’ll do it in batches of 15 questions per day, totalling 105 questions at the end of the week. Without further to do, here are my favourite books, movies, foods and everything else that I thought might be interesting for you to know:

76. My favorite cooking or kitchen smell?

Freshly baked potatoes.

77. The most significant change I’ve had to go through and how it made me better?

Learning to be patient in life, the hardest thing ever, which I’m still working on today and probably forever.

78. My “biggest deal” memory of childhood?

When my friend hit my right in the nose with a soccer ball. I had a nosebleed for about 4 hours…

79. My favorite non-relative adult growing up?

I always admired the dad of a friend for his power to move on in life regardless of his treacherous past.

80. My favorite aunt or uncle?

My aunt.

81. Best Sunday afternoon I ever had?

Typically looks like this very one. Just had a great lunch with family, I’m now chilling with some music and writing and later going for some tea.

82. Favorite ice cream ever, and from where?

Pistachios, Milan.

83. Favorite musician?

Hans Zimmer.

84. Famous person I’ve admired, living or dead, whom I’d most like to meet?

David Blaine, my absolute living idol.

85. Favorite environmental sound (rain, thunder, etc.)?

Definitely rain.

86. Favorite person to take a walk on a beach or in the woods with?

My mom, she is great and I love her the very most.

87. Best time I’ve had playing with a pet?

When my dog Obama was young. Now he’s big and could surely eat me.

88. Nicest thing I’ve ever done for a little kid?

Buying him a PlayStation 3 with GTA V.

89. Favorite TV rerun I could watch 50 times?

The Big Bang Theory.

90. Favorite item no one knows I own?

A hand lotion thingy with coconut oil.

This whole marathon was really like an “Oracle”, a game we used to play years ago in which we’d have to answer questions in someone else’s notebook on different topics, much like the article above. Feel free to answer 2 or 3 or more questions from the list above about yourself, in the comments below.
