On Exploring The World

Day 307/365: Travelling cures any struggles!

As you’re reading this, I’m on my way to Istanbul. I’m probably there already, enjoying some kebab. It probably is great. (LIVE UPDATE: It was AMAZING!)

I have been travelling a lot this year.

My dream is to be able to stay on the road for a year non-stop. This year has been a good rehearsal for the next few years when, eventually, I’ll be able to do just that.

I’ve been away for about 2 months this year. Germany, Italy, England, Hungary, Romania, Egypt, Turkey, Austria and so on. I’ll say it out loud: investing all of my money into travelling this year, into exploring the world, has been the best thing I have ever done for my mind, body and spirit.

I said “investing” and I meant it. Yes, you can invest in travel, you can take it as an investment because travelling is not just about riding planes or trains and seeing some tourist attraction. Travel teaches you about life, about people, about how to make it on your own regardless of your surroundings.

Travel is the best open book with no pages. It’s the best therapy session without a therapist. It’s the best movie without the theatre screen. Travel is the best cure for any disease, the best medicine for any struggle.

Exploring the world makes you human again.
