The Best Reason To Quit Something

Day 251/365: Why would you quit on your dreams anyway?

People quit following their dreams on a daily basis. They always seem to find the right reasons for it. They get discouraged because of one bad day, one bad hour, and that’s that, they’re out of it and never look back.

Really?

Since when did we become so easy to turn around? Humans have evolved from nothing. We were goddamn monkeys in the beginning, yet now we fly planes and build skyscrapers and… and write about Sherlock Holmes?

Yet, when we should be at our best in the history of our mankind, we’re so easily discouraged, it’s borderline idiotic. Money, relationships, even health, they’re not good enough reasons to just put our dreams aside.

They should be motivators to make us want the stuff we’re dreaming about even more. They should make us cry for our yet unfulfilled dreams. And when we’re ready to give up, they should hold us back and think that, if we lose the dreaming part of our lives, we’re lost for good.

A good reason for quitting stuff? The best reason for quitting on your dreams? Idiocity. That’s it. The only reason why you should quit anything you really love and cherish is if you’re suddenly becoming an idiot.

If that’s not the case, and it most certainly isn’t, then you should never ever quit something you’re dreaming about every day.
