These 7 Stupidly Simple Rules Are The Secret To Life

Day 6/365: I just found the Secret to Life in an Instagram post…

Life is a series of trials and errors, with the ultimate goal being to find happiness before the natural end, which is death. We wake up every morning and we try to find our little happiness source, whether is music, food, a loved one, our jobs, money, simplicity or anything else. Sometimes, we are so caught up in the material, we forget about the spiritual, the mental and emotional parts of life.

As I said in a previous post, happiness is sometimes as simple as thinking about something that you like and feel good. It really is that simple, but we humans do have a tendency to complicate even the simplest things. That is really a correlation, but more about that in a future post. We’ve got 348 days left, so plenty of time for that!

I was scrolling down Instagram the other night when I stumbled upon the list below, which illustrates 7 rules for a happy life. Seven CARDINAL Rules, to be more precise, and I give credit to the author because they really should be cardinal. They’re so simple, yet so many people never apply them, it makes me mad and the people that never use them unhappy and sick.

  1. Make peace with your past
  • so it won’t disturb your future.

2. What other people think of you

  • is none of your business.

3. Time heals almost everything

  • give it time.

4. No one is in charge of your happiness

  • except you.

5. Don’t compare your life to others

  • and don’t judge them, you have no idea what their journey is all about.

6. Stop thinking too much

  • it’s all right not to know the answers, they will come to you when you least expect it.

7. Smile

  • you don’t own all the problems in the world.

I know I’m the talkative type, and you’re already supposed to expect a long, detailed explanation to each of these rules. To be honest, they’re so simple, so true and so direct, they really need no explanation. Print them out, read them every morning after waking up and every night before going to bet. Do it for a month. Just do it, don’t ask any questions, just trust me.

Thank you for your time!
