A frequent direct message (DM) I receive on Instagram is some version of this: “I come here for design posts and to see your life in France. Stop posting political stuff.”

My Instagram content is different than my Twitter content. On Twitter, where I have 112k followers (a fairly even mix of men and women), I mostly use the platform to amplify voices I appreciate. I end up retweeting a ton of political stuff, and some tweets that make me laugh. On Instagram, where I have 129k followers (90% women), I share more personal content like house renovations, vacations, and updates about my family. …

As a mother of six and a Mormon, I have a good understanding of arguments surrounding abortion, religious and otherwise. When I hear men discussing women’s reproductive rights, I’m often left with the thought that they have zero interest in stopping abortion.

If you want to prevent abortion, you need to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Men seem unable (or unwilling) to admit that they cause 100% of them.
