Sync Relationships Visualized

Thanks to the work I have been doing lately on Faces of N. and the dance prototypes, I have been thinking a lot about sync. In particular, I have been considering what I see as four types of sync relationships between sound and image:

I could (and will) elaborate more on this theme, but for now I prefer to express my thoughts in audiovisual media. In the meantime, this visualization of these four relationships should help convey a sense of my ideas.

I was able to generate this diagram in no time at all using a super simple web app called InfraNodus. My friend Dmitry Paranyushkin develops this tool with his creative bureau Nodus Labs.
