Take baby steps if you must, but take the step! It’s difficult to go cold turkey from a lifetime of filling our guts with junk, but in order to strengthen our minds and bodies, we have to first change our mindset of how we see and think about food. We live in a culture of over indulgence. We eat and drink to full capacity and sometimes beyond that which results in all the chronic diseases we face, obesity and our bodies feeling sluggish.

If we begin to look at our health as a gift and food as something to nourish our mind, body and soul, then perhaps the amount and kinds of foods we intake will slowly begin to change. Studies say we should drink water first thing in the morning to nourish and rehydrate our bodies. This is a far better choice than grabbing a cup of coffee or a donut!

Let’s begin to take our health serious even if its letting go of one unhealthy habit a day. None of us are getting any younger and it’s never too late to begin living our best, healthiest lives ever!
