Scratching my own itch with Drafty

Several weeks ago, I was asked to write a guest blog post expanding on a comment that I made about my #1 tip in incident management on the Atlassian Community. I was super pumped but I suddenly realised “how can I share a draft post with the marketing team?”. I didn’t want to set up a Google Doc or mess around with permissions & collaborate on a tool that requires authentication.

Doing a quick search, there were tools like note apps, but they still required authentication or didn’t provide the free flowing edits I needed.

So, as a typical software engineer, I decided to build a simple web app that does that. Then, Drafty was born.

Today, I am very excited to launch Drafty into the open. After 3 weeks of developing (in between work, conferences and holidays), and several amazing people to test, it’s now available 🎉!

Drafty: Kanban board

Take Drafty for a spin today! It’s free to use (still working on a pricing model, but my gut feel is to have a free account and a premium account that is paid for).
