Just hours after the arrival of version 2.0, miHoYo has announced a collaboration that brings Aloy inside Genshin Impact, bringing the Horizon Zero Dawn protagonist to the free-to-play title. At the moment, only a first official artwork has been confirmed via the PlayStation Twitter account, with more information to follow.
This news marks the first real external collaboration between the work of miHoYo and Guerrilla, which will allow all users to be able to redeem this character. The procedure is rather simple and intuitive and is divided into two phases: the first for those who own a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 console and the second for all other users.
In order to redeem this character you only need to have reached or exceeded Adventure Rank 20 and a letter will be sent within the game. The character of Aloy, cryo type, will then be available for everyone.
The periods are currently two: the first from October 13, for those who login from PS4 and PS5, and the second from November 24, for all those who do not have a Sony console. The first date, as also reported on the official website, coincides with the end of version 2.1, of which we already have some information, and the beginning of version 2.2.
The protagonist of the title developed by Guerrilla is not uncommon to appear in other games, as already happened in the past on Fortnite, where she appeared along with many other protagonists of other works. This, however, is miHoYo’s first collaboration with an external company, which potentially opens the door to many other possibilities and future cameos of other protagonists or stars of the video game world.
Normal Attack: Perform up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.
Charged Attack: Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.
While aiming, biting frost will accumulate on the arrowhead. A fully charged frost arrow will deal Cryo DMG
Plunging Attack: Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Elemental Skill: Aloy throws a Freeze Bomb in the targeted direction and triggers an explosion, dealing Cryo DMG. After it explodes, the Freeze Bomb will split up into many Chillwater Bomblets that explode on contact with opponents or after a short delay, dealing Cryo DMG.
When a Freeze Bomb or Chillwater Bomblet hits an opponent, the opponent’s ATK is decreased and Aloy receives 1 Coil stack.
Aloy can gain up to 1 Coil stack every 0.1s.
- Each stack increases Aloy’s Normal Attack DMG.
- When Aloy has 4 Coil stacks, all stacks of Coil are cleared. She then enters the Rushing Ice state, which further increases the DMG dealt by her Normal Attacks and converts her Normal Attack DMG to Cryo DMG.
Elemental Burst: Aloy throws a Power Cell filled with Cryo in the targeted direction, then detonates it with an arrow, dealing AoE Cryo Damage.
